ABOUT VALERIE
Mezzo-soprano Valerie Eickhoff, winner of the OPUS KLASSIK award 2024 for Young Artist of the Year, is rapidly establishing herself as a standout talent known for her exceptional musicality and brilliant vocal artistry. In the season 2024/2025, she will join the ensemble of the Semperoper Dresden, where she will perform key roles such as Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Stéphano in Romeo et Juliette, and Nicoletta in Die Liebe zu den drei Orangen. She will also return to the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen as Rosina, and to Bayerische Staatsoper for a new production of Fauré’s Pénélope.
In concert, Eickhoff will perform Bach’s St. Matthew Passion with the Gewandhaus Orchestra in Leipzig and appear in numerous song recitals with pianists Eric Schneider and Elenora Pertz.
